Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the succssful completion of specific project goals and objectives. It is sometimes conflated with program management, however technically that is actually a higher level construction: a group of related and somehow interdependent engineering projects. A project is a temporary endeavor, having a defined beginning and the end, undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, usually to bring about beneficial changes or added values. The temporary nature of projects stands in contrast to business as usual which is repetitive, permanent or semi-permanent functional work to produce products or services.

Mr. Vishwas Gupta (b. 1977) is a promising management professional having obtained MBA from Rohilakhand University, Bareilly in the year 2001 and M.Phil from Madurai Kamraj University, Madurai in 2007. He is pursuing his Doctoral from AIMA-AMU, New Delhi. At present, Mr. Vishwas Gupta is working as Assistant Professor, Aravali Institute of Management, Jodhpur. His core area of teaching is Marketing and Operations. Perior to this he was attached with ICFAI Group, Hyderabad for three years. He has contributed his services as marketing analyst to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Sarabhai Pharmaceuticals. His research interests include consumer psychometric analysis, network techniques and quantitatve research. He has contributed more than a dozen research papers and articles in different national and international journals besides attending several national and international conferences.
