These colourful this series provide you with full-colour stories and ready-to-use activities to teach skills concepts and concepts across the whole early childhood curriculum. Each book unit is beautifully illustrated in full colour. The dozens of activities, many reproducible, address important age-appropriate skills such as understanding a story, vocabulary development, letter and sound recognition, and beginning math concepts. Theme concepts are presented using full-colour storybooks (five in each Thematic unit) Charming storyboard cutouts are provided so that children may retell the stories, and reproducible take-home storybooks extend the story experience. Learning is advanced through a wide variety of lessons focusing on reading., language, math, art, dramatic play, cooking, and music. Each book has five learning center activities, many of which contain full-colour manipulatives. She has taught students in preschool, a multi-age primary unit (grades 1 through 3), and also fourth through sixth grades. Her experiences include mentioring student teachers and graduate students while teaching in the University Labpratory School at Indiana university of Pennsylvania. She has also taught in Eygpt, New Hampshire, Michigan, and Georgia. Besides coauthoring two books in this series for Evan-Moor, She is coauthor of a number of other published teacher resource books on various literacy topics Dr. Deborah Ellermeyer is currently a faculty member at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she teaches methodology courses in literacy and the language arts. Her teaching experience ranges from working with youngsters in a multi-age primary classroom to teaching pre-service and in service teachers. She is a frequent presenter at international, national, state, and regional educational conferences. Dr. Ellemeyer is the author of a number of published teacher resource books on various literacy topics.
