The work of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has been the most improtant single factor in the genesis and development of Indian Western comaprative studies. Since shortly after the turn of the century Radhakrishnan had been working creatively for a greater synthesis of Idnian and Western values and by doing so has helped us to establish the data, problems, and methods of comparative study of Indian and Western philosophcial, religious and cultural ideas.The present work is an attempt to analyse the educational philosophy of Radhakrishnan. The first chapter of this work is based on the life and work of this great man. The second chapter reveals philosophical development of Radhakrishnan. His social philosophy is disonssed in teh third chapter. Educational ideas of this great educationists have been examined in detail in the fourth chapter and the last chapter consists of the major conclusions of earlier discussion. About Author : Born on Ist July 1934 at Pratapgarh Avadh, Ram Shakal Pandey received his education at Karachi, Agra, Sagar and Lucknow. He was awarded the degree of Ph.D. in Education by Lucknow University in 1961. Dr. Pandey Served B.R. Colege of Education Agra as an Asstt. Professor for seventeen years and Meerut University as a Reader in Education for two years. Since 1977 he has been on the staff of the University of Allahabad and currently he is Professor and Head of the Department of Education in this university. He is an author of several books in Hindi and English and his books have received recognition scholars of not only India but also abroad.Born on 23rd May 1946 at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Uma Rani Sharma received her education at Sharanpur, Agra, Kathmandu (Nepal), and Allahabad She passed her M.Ed. examination with first division and first position from teh University of Allahabad, She was awarded the degree of D.Phil in Education by the University of Allahabad in 1989.
