Dexter starts building his career as a news anchor after traveling around the world, and Emma tries her luck as a playwright. They continue to remain in touch, sharing their personal and professional details, and ultimately realize that they are attracted to each other. Through his book, David Nicholls portrays how people can change with time, and in what ways they still remain the same. Erich Segal was born in the year 1937 and was a professor at Yale, Princeton, and Harvard Universities. He was also a screenwriter, educator, and author. Some of his popular books are Oliver’s Story, Fairy Tale, Acts of Faith, Doctors and The Class. David Nicholls was born in 1966, and has worked as a screenwriter and novelist. His other novels include Starter for Ten and The Understudy. After graduating from Bristoll University, Nicholls worked as a minor actor in different theaters, before taking up a career in writing.
