Gulliver's Travels, written by Jonathan Swift in 1726 (later amended in 1735) was originally titled as Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World by Lemuel Gulliver. Over the last three centureis, it has become one of the most widely read novels in English literature.This book is an adventure story involving several voyages of Lemuel Gulliver, a ship's surgeon. Deu to a sereis of mishaps on sea he lands on several unknown island inhabited with people and animals of unusual sizes and behaviours.On one occasion, he is swept ashore the island of Lilliput, a land of very small people no bigger than his finger. Gulliver is treated with compassion and concern, and in turn, he helps them solve some of their problems, especially their conflict with their enemy. Eventualy he is resuced at sea by a ship and returns to his home in England.
