Ethics ; A Virtue Theoretic Approach

The author examines in the book the intricate relation between morality and human life. In the course of his examination he argues that the liberal moral theory is inadequate to accommodate the idea of a moral person because it forces a person to accept the fragmentation of human life into moral and non-moral domains. Against this the author contents that a satisfactory theory must show the moral life of a person integrated into the person's overall life woven into the fabric of a single narrative. About Author : Kumar Neeraj Sachdev (b. 1965) has done his M.A. M.Phil. in Philosophy from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has received his Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1999 from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. His focus of research for his M.Phil. and Ph.D. was in the field of Ethics.He is working as a faculty member in Birla Institute of Technology and Science since 1998.
