The concept or term economic development is quite complex but important. The concept is quite complex because it relative, at the same time important because every nations of the world, irrespective of their level of development always pursuit for achieving appropriate level of economic development. Economic development, as it is now generally understood, includes the development of agriculture, industry, trade, transport, means of irrigation, power resources, etc. It, thus, indicates a process of development.In the present book presented an insight of several important issue confronted to economic development such as Economic Policies Agriculture, Industrial, Commercial, etc. Industrial Development of transport-Rail, Road, Air and Water. About Author : Dr. K S Thakur, born in 1965, presently working as Reader in the Institute of Commerce and Management, JIwaji University, Gwalior (MP). He has obtained his M Com in 1987 with first division, M Phil (Commerce) in 1988 and PhD (Business Administration) in 1991 from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He has teaching and research experience of more than 15 years in the area of Commerce and Business Administration. He has also supervised project reports of MBA and BBA students besides supervising M Phil dissertations. 10 research scholars have already earned and 06 are working for their PhD degree under his supervision in the faculty of Commerce and Management. He has published more than 50 research papers and articles in National journals of repute. He has attended National & International conferences and Seminars, also contributed papers besides holding prestigious positions. He is awarded with 'Rastriya Vidya Saraswati Puraskar' in 2006 for outstanding work in the field of Commerce and Management at New Delhi. As Organizing Secretary he has successfully conducted two National workshops on Research Methodology and Two National seminar on "Emerging Issues in Business Management" and "Emerging Business Practices in India".
