Crusades covers seven hundred years from the First Crusade (1095–1102) to the fall of Malta (1798) drawing together scholars working on war, theology, law, literature, art, numismatics and economic, social, political and military history. There is a great need for more historical sources of the Crusades-narrative, homiletic and documentary-to be made available in trustworthy editions. Therefore, editorial preference is given here to the publication of texts in both European and oriental languages, although interpretative material is welcomed, too. Ashgate publishes this journal for The Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East, and it incorporates the Society\'s Bulletin.
