    As the title, `A Critical Harvest: Essays and Studies ' indicates, this collection of essays represents all the diverse areas in which Prof. Naik has worked for about four decades. The areas include British literature, American literature, Anglo-Indian writing, Translation, and, of course, Indian English literature, of which Dr. Naik has been of the earliest and ablest champions. About Author : M.K. Naik is an internationally acknowledged authority on Indian English Literature and Anglo-Indian Fiction. His History of IndianEnglish Literature (1982; seven editions upto 2003), and its sequel (in collaboration with Shyamala Narayan), Indian English Literature 1980-2000) (2001; two editions upto 2004) are both the vade-mecum for the student.
