Author Biography
ASAE is a membership organization of more than 22,000 association executives and industry partners representing more than 11,000 organizations. John F. Schlegel, PharmD, MSEd, CAE, is president of Schlegel & Associates, a consulting and training firm that helps association boards, volunteer leaders, and staff improve leadership and governance to achieve high performance. In his 17 years as an association executive, he served as CEO for three major national associations, including the now American Pharmacists Association. He holds BS and doctoral degrees in pharmacy, a fellowship in medical education, a master s degree in higher education, and two honorary doctorates in science.
