The present book is meant for the students of undergraduate Science and Engineering courses. P.K. Mittal, M.Sc., (Maths, Physics), Ph.D., M.N. A.Sc. (India) is Dean Research and Development, Graphic Era University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). He has been teaching post-graduate and under-graduate classes since last 43 years. He has been guiding research students and 15 students have obtained Ph.D. under his guidance. He has been honoured by Ramanujan Mathematical Society and felicitated in 1998 by the Minister of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, for his services. He has organized and attended a number of national and international conferences. Presently, he is the Chief Editor of 'Journal of Graphic Era University' and is member of editorial boards of a number of national and international journals.
